Latin for Beginners

LATIN FOR BEGINNERS At home on a 1 to 1 basis, individual sessions, or in small groups. Beat the rest, and offer your children a full and exciting series of Latin classes. From individual to small group tuition, I use a variety of resources, including recognized Latin courses, books, games, props, and the Internet, together with all my most up to date research. The classes are story and scenario based, encouraging the children to take ownership of the stories. This will encourage each child to develop an "ear" for Latin, inviting participation and so increasing motivation. Rest assured, there is no need for memorizing lengthy vocabulary lists and complex grammar rules, both of which were stumbling blocks for many children in the past. I have experience teaching the following courses: Minimus...................ISEB ab initio (Common Entrance)............CLC bks 1 - 5 Latin’s benefits do not come in crash courses – they are earned through continuity, consistency, and time. Starting with a program designed for young students, one that includes sufficient grammar instruction, age-appropriate vocabulary, and plenty of support, each weekly session lasts approx. 30 - 60 minutes, and must be booked in 6 week blocks.
